No Mint

± 2 min read 5 sections 2 images

We start the Basic part with contract safety checks. If the can mint new tokens and sell them, the price gets destroyed instantly. That's why you check .

Section 1 / 5

What is No Mint?

Mint authority is the right to mint (create) new tokens. NoMint means this right has been revoked for good, so the can't be increased anymore.

Section 2 / 5

How to check

  1. On GMGN, look at NoMint on the token's metrics card. A green check = a sign of lower risk on this check.
Red box: NoMint green check (example token FTR), meaning the dev can no longer print new tokens. GMGN screenshot (Oct 2026). Token is only an example, not a recommendation.

  2. Tokens from pump.fun are usually already NoMint, but check anyway.

What a Red NoMint Looks Like

TURBO: ① NoMint with a red , ② tooltip "Mint auth disabled". GMGN screenshot (Oct 18, 2026). Token is only an example, not a recommendation.
  1. The tooltip "Mint auth disabled" is the name of the condition GMGN checks, not the token's status.
  2. A red means that condition isn't met: mint authority is still active, so the dev can still mint new tokens. This was double-checked with on-chain data.
  3. Data at the time of the screenshot: the creator still held about 100% of the supply and the price was about -70% from . This is not proof the dev minted and dumped, it's only an example of what a red NoMint looks like.

Green flags & Red flags

Green flags

  • NoMint green check.

Red flags

  • Mint is still active, or the dev says "we'll revoke it later".
Summary

Summary

Summary
  • NoMint = mint authority has been revoked for good, so the supply can't be increased anymore.
  • Check NoMint on the GMGN metrics card. Green check = low risk on the mint side. pump.fun tokens are usually already NoMint, but check anyway.
  • Active mint = high risk, usually skip. A green NoMint only covers mint risk, it's no guarantee the price goes up. Always check it together with (lesson 2.2).
Section 5 / 5

Common mistakes

  • Misreading the "Mint auth disabled" tooltip: that's the name of the condition being checked. The status is the green check or the red .
  • Trusting a dev who says mint will be "revoked later".
  • Skipping this check just because the token is from pump.fun.

This check takes one glance, but it can save your money. Look for the smallest risk, don't in out of greed.
Next up, lesson 2.2: Blacklist.
